Sharpen-A-Thon
On Friday September 9th 2005 Pro Connexion held it's "Sharpena-Thon". A unique concept, the event saw 100% of the days skate sharpening revenue directed to the newly formed Winnipeg Minor Hockey Association Player Sponsorship Fund.
The fund was created to help ensure that players, regardless of their economic background, have an opportunity to participate in Canada's game. The goal for the day was 200 pairs of skates sharpened before the close of business at 8:00pm. Donations on behalf of Kidsport were accepted all weekend.
